April 10th, 2017

Dear Parents,

You are cordially invited to attend Shenyang International School’s International Day on Wednesday, April 26th. This year our theme is Colors of the World. Come join us in celebrating the diversity within our school and broader community! The celebration includes a traditional flag ceremony, free lunch at the international food court, and special country presentations in which students will have the opportunity to interact with different cultures. The schedule for our International Day festivities is as follows:

11:00 Flag Ceremony
11:30 International Food Court 12:10 Country Presentations

Students are encouraged to wear their home country’s national dress for the occasion. All families with children attending SYIS are required to bring food for the international food court. If you have more than one child attending SYIS, please bring a dish for the assigned region of your oldest child. Families may bring a single dish or they may collaborate with other parents within the grade. Regardless, please bring a dish representative of your child’s assigned region:

We will be looking for volunteers to help serve the food on the day of the event. Please contact your class representative or homeroom teacher if you would like to coordinate dishes and volunteer to serve food at the international food court. Please direct all food related questions to our international food court manager, Young Waters, at ywaters@syischina.com.

We hope to see you there!
